Announcing Frecuencia's yearly Special Report TOP TEN LATIN AMERICAN OPERATORS OF 2004
For the third consecutive year, Frecuencia Latinoamérica will issue its "2004 Top Ten Latin American Operators." Frecuencia's editorial team, along with recognized industry and financial analysts, regional mobile associations, major suppliers to the industry and corporate end users, as well as our own voting readers are part of the editorial council who will choose these top ten carriers.
Ailing economies and stiff competition are few of the drivers that have shaped the performance and success of Latin American carriers. A carefully thought and knowledgeable advisory team will determine which mobile operators have managed these hurdles to the benefit of its subscribers. These conclusions will be reached considering the carriers' ARPU, technological and managerial innovations, market share potential, quality of their operations among other factors related to their performance. 2004 nominees include: Vivo (Brazil), TIM (Brazil), Claro (Brazil), Oi (Brazil), Bellsouth (Chile), Entel PCS (Chile), Personal (Argentina), CTI Móvil (Argentina), Movistar (Mexico), Telcel (Mexico), Ola (Colombia), Bellsouth (Colombia), Comcel (Colombia), Porta (Ecuador), Alegro PCS (Ecuador), Bellsouth (Ecuador), Bellsouth (Venezuela), Ancel (Uruguay). The "Top Ten Latin American Operators" Council is composed by: Graca Sermoud, Ana Paula Lobo, and Clara Persand (Frecuencia's editorial team); Luis Balderas (Meryta ); José Otero (Infoamericas ); Raúl Katz (Booz-Allen ); Federico Chopourian (Frost & Sullivan ); Luiz Minoru (Yankee Group ); Wally Swain (Yankee ); and Daniel Domeneghetti (E-Consulting). |
